The first time I visited a hot spring in Colorado

Despite living in Colorado for almost 30 years, I have yet to experience its natural hot springs. For a weekend trip this year, we chose Buena Vista, Colorado. We spent a couple of days at Cottonwood Hot Springs Inn and Spa, soaking in their natural water pools and enjoying the mountain views.

The picturesque views of the surrounding mountains at Cottonwood Hot Springs provide a peaceful and relaxing environment to rejuvenate body and mind. A variety of pools are available, each with a different temperature to accommodate different heat tolerances.

As part of our trip, we spent a day snowshoeing in Crested Butte near my son’s home in Gunnison, Colorado. It was our second snowshoeing trip and it did not disappoint. The night ended with dinner in downtown Crested Butte at Teocalli Tamale, which I highly recommend.
